Keriah- Hebrew reading

Every day in our class we learn Keriah- Hebrew reading.
At the moment we are spending time reviewing all the Nekudos (vowels).
Today we started Segol!
Every day we use our letter chart and vowel pointers to chant the sounds that each vowel makes and then we learn a new skill depending on the Nekudah we are up to.
We then split up into three groups and take turns learning at the three centers.

One center is READING. We practice reading words or sounds using the skill we have just learnt.

Another center is usually some some sort of GAME using the Hebrew letters and vowels- such as Bingo! The children love this!

The third center is some sort of individual activity to practice Hebrew writing skills.

The children are doing realy well with their Hebrew so keep up all the good practice at home and lets hope very soon we will all be able to read from a Siddur!
